Nintendo Wii Console
Technology made fun, wireless controllers and an acceleration and orientation detector.
Information about the Nintendo Wii console was first released at the 2004 E3 press conference and later made public at the 2005 E3. The console won the first of many awards at the E3 2006. In a report released by The Financial Times, it was stated that as of September 2007, the Wii has been the leaded sales in its niche.
One of the features that has probably summed to its imminent success is the fact that it has a wireless controller, the Wii Remote, which is to be used by holding it in your hand and when pointed at the console it detects acceleration and orientation in three dimensions. Since it connects to the internet by wireless, you can update and receive messages while it is in the stand by mode.
If your main concern is size and/or space to put the console... worry no longer. The Nintendo Wii console, of approximately 8.5 inches long and 6 inches wide, not to mention less than 2 inches thick, will fit anywhere in the family room, game room, playroom or bedroom.
